About the role
This is a full-time permanent automotive design-engineering role in Chennai focused on cab mechanisms and vehicle integration. You will develop cab, body, and product systems from early concepts through detailed design, validation, and engineering release. The role is aimed at engineers with seven to nine years of relevant mechanisms experience.
What you’ll do
- Create concepts, layouts, 3D models, drawings, and design releases.
- Perform DFMEA, DVP&R, tolerance, and packaging reviews.
- Coordinate CAE, testing, manufacturing, and supplier inputs.
- Resolve validation, quality, and field issues through structured engineering.
- Work across cab, BIW, vehicle integration, NVH, crash, and durability topics.
What they’re looking for
- Seven to nine years of relevant experience in mechanisms.
- Experience with PLM, GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, BIW, cab integration, vehicle integration, NVH, crash analysis, durability, and design release.
- Automotive, commercial-vehicle, mobility, or adjacent product-engineering experience.
- Engineering degree such as B.Tech or B.E. is listed in the candidate profile.
Nice to have
- Commercial vehicle product-development experience.
- Cross-functional validation experience.
- Technical documentation and design-release experience.
- Candidates able to relocate to Chennai.
