About the role
This is a principal solution engineering role at Salesforce, remote, focused on the Financial Services vertical including banking, insurance, wealth management and lending. It suits an experienced solutions consultant or sales engineer who can act as a technical trusted advisor across complex accounts. What you’ll do
- Discover customer business needs and position multi-product Salesforce solutions
- Develop technical points of view on AI context architecture, agentic AI governance and hybrid architecture
- Run customer-facing workshops and execute proof of concepts
- Demonstrate connected experiences through executive and business-level software demos
- Build customized demos using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor
- Drive consensus among C-level stakeholders on solution options such as build vs. buy
- Lead cross-functional solution guides and share best practices with the Solution Engineering community
What they’re looking for
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, MIS or business technology
- 5+ years of experience in technology, consulting, solution engineering, sales engineering, software development or business analysis
- Understanding of enterprise software, cloud technologies, databases, APIs and web technologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Ability to travel as required based on territory alignment
Nice to have
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, Consulting or Architecture
- Industry experience in Financial Services with knowledge of SOX, FINRA, SEC, KYC/AML or loan origination
- Experience with agentic code tools such as Claude Code, Gemini, NotebookLM, Cursor, Codex or Agentforce Vibes
- Salesforce certifications or prior experience as a solution/sales engineer at a CRM company

- Base salary hiring range of CAD 162,890 to CAD 212,890 annually for Ontario-based roles, excluding bonus, equity or benefits
