About the role
This is a 9-month contract data analyst role in Toronto, embedded with a top-5 Canadian bank's Credit Card engagement team. It suits an experienced analyst comfortable building data structures and running end-to-end project analysis using BigQuery and Python. The work centers on customer segmentation, channel analytics and campaign optimization for a rebranding and re-engagement initiative.
What you’ll do
- Design and integrate customer segmentation, channel analytics and recommendation engines
- Synthesize data across platforms to identify trends and business recommendations
- Explore and incorporate new data sources to enhance customer experience
- Work with partners to review findings on campaign performance
- Validate and measure the effectiveness of customer and campaign strategies
- Communicate results of highly technical projects to stakeholders

- 8+ years of experience as a data analyst working with structured and unstructured data
- 8+ years of advanced SQL coding experience
- 3+ years of experience with Python
- 1+ year of reporting experience with Power BI
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Strong communication skills and ability to present findings clearly
Nice to have
- Google Cloud, Hadoop, Big Data or Data Lake experience
- Experience with Adobe Analytics
- Experience in marketing analytics
- Previous experience with banks or financial institutions
