What you’ll do
- Coordinate and steward shared datasets and systems in scope for audit, including financial and recordkeeping systems
- Improve governance, communication and coordination around upstream schema and logic changes
- Support technical analysis and downstream impact assessment during change management
- Support development and maintenance of reusable audit-ready dataset patterns, including automated validation and monitoring
- Review processes and datasets in scope for audit and propose reengineering opportunities
- Provide technical guidance to business stakeholders and the audit PM
What they’re looking for
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering, ideally supporting internal audit, risk or SOX compliance
- Experience designing data architecture in a regulated environment with governance and traceability built in
- Hands-on experience building and owning production data pipelines, with familiarity in dbt and Airflow or equivalent
- Full mastery of SQL including complex joins, CTEs and analytical functions, plus strong Python proficiency
- Experience documenting technical and business requirements, including metadata and data dictionaries
- Familiarity with data administration tasks such as job scheduling and troubleshooting ETL workflows
- Experience partnering with data engineering or governance teams on schema changes and downstream impact analysis
- Strong communication skills translating between technical and business audiences
Nice to have
- Experience building or scaling a data analytics function within an audit or risk organization
- Familiarity with AI-assisted or automation tools for data quality checks or testing
- Familiarity with audit management platforms such as AuditBoard, Jira or Workiva
