About the role
This is a senior frontend engineer role at Postman based in Bengaluru, India, working in a hybrid capacity. You will establish engineering excellence across Postman's frontend ecosystem, building shared libraries, SDKs, and desktop application foundations used by hundreds of internal engineers and tens of millions of customers.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop modular, well-documented SDKs and component libraries serving internal teams and external developers.
- Architect extensible frontend systems with clear boundaries and well-defined interfaces.
- Establish and evangelize architectural patterns that promote code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
- Champion engineering excellence through mentorship and creation of frontend standards.
- Identify and eliminate technical debt through strategic refactoring and system enhancements.
What they’re looking for
- Eight or more years in frontend software engineering with demonstrated expertise in code quality, performance optimization, and engineering excellence.
- Deep understanding of modern web technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, state management, and testing frameworks.
- Experience designing and implementing maintainable, scalable frontend architectures including component libraries and SDKs.
- Proven track record of raising the quality bar in previous roles.
