About the role
This is a full-time Registered Dental Assistant position at Pine Creek Dental in southwest Calgary, Alberta. You’ll support dentists during treatment, help patients understand their care, and contribute to the smooth operation of a new clinic. The role suits a certified dental assistant with at least one year of dental assisting experience.
What you’ll do
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Take dental radiographs and clinical photographs.
- Explain oral hygiene and post-operative care to patients.
- Maintain patient records and documentation.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow.
- Process billing and verify insurance information.
- Coordinate with the dental team to support patient care.
- Keep current with dental technology and practice developments.
- Order, stock and organize clinic supplies.
What they’re looking for
- Registration with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants.
- CPR certification.
- At least one year of dental assisting experience.
- Certification as a dental assistant.
- An upbeat, patient-focused approach and a positive attitude.
Nice to have
- Front-desk or administrative experience.
- Experience with Dentrix and Recall Max.
- IV sedation certification.
- Preventive or orthodontic module completion.
- Intraoral scanning skills.
- Intraoral and extraoral photography experience.
- Experience with neuromodulator treatments.
- Experience with ordering and inventory.
What’s on offer
- Full-time, in-person work in Calgary.
- Approximately 32 to 40 hours per week.
- One Saturday shift per month, lasting six hours.
- Pay of CAD 21.70 to CAD 35.66 per hour.
