About the role
This is a senior, remote application engineering role on Mozilla's newly formed Workplace Technology team, based in Canada. You'd build and maintain the automations and integrations that run Mozilla's internal collaboration, identity and AI productivity tools. It suits an engineer with a few years of experience in systems integration or workplace technology who wants to bring agentic AI into IT operations.
What you’ll do
- Build scripts, APIs and workflow automations for tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian and Okta
- Develop integrations connecting GenAI tools such as OpenAI, Claude and Gemini to internal systems
- Implement monitoring, logging and observability for automation and AI workflows
- Improve onboarding, off-boarding and access workflows with automation
- Work with IT, Security and People teams on identity and compliance standards
- Contribute to pilot projects introducing new AI and productivity capabilities
What they’re looking for
- 4-6 years in software engineering, systems integration or workplace technology development
- Proficiency in a scripting or programming language such as Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, Bash or PowerShell
- Comfort with RESTful APIs, webhooks and integration frameworks
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom or Atlassian
- Interest in agentic and AI workflows
Nice to have
- Understanding of IAM/SSO (Okta, SAML/OIDC/SCIM)
- Experience automating provisioning or access
- Exposure to CI/CD and workflow orchestration
