This is a senior individual-contributor data analyst role at Autodesk, based in Toronto, acting as a trusted analytics partner to product, engineering and business leaders. It suits an experienced analyst who wants to define success metrics, run experimentation, and build AI-assisted analytical tools at scale. What you’ll do
- Collaborate with product managers to identify and address business problems through data analysis
- Define product measurement including KPIs, OKRs, metric trees and launch measurement
- Use AI coding and analysis tools to accelerate SQL/Python development and build reusable workflows
- Create data visualizations using Power BI, Looker or similar tools
- Build and evolve canonical datasets, semantic models and self-service dashboards
- Partner with Data Engineering on data quality, lineage and observability
- Mentor analysts and cross-functional partners on experimentation and data storytelling
What they’re looking for
- 8+ years of experience in large data analysis, business intelligence or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics or Mathematics
- Demonstrated principal/staff level scope shaping ambiguous problems and influencing roadmaps
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R
- Experience with data warehouse ELT tools like Airflow, dbt or Snowflake
- Experience with semantic layers and BI tools such as Looker or Power BI
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and modeling methodologies
Nice to have
- Prior experience in a SaaS or platform engineering organization
- Familiarity with Autodesk's product portfolio
- Experience analyzing AI/ML or agentic products
- Experience building internal data products or LLM-enabled tools
- Master's degree in a quantitative field
