About the role
This is a senior business analyst contract supporting the ePrescribe initiative within a healthcare digital modernization program in Toronto. It suits a BA with deep healthcare IT background who can define requirements for medication and pharmacy workflows. You'll work within the Patients Before Paperwork portfolio, connecting frontline clinical workflows to the province's digital infrastructure.
What you’ll do
- Support analytical activities related to the ePrescription and medication initiative
- Contribute to the medication program's integrated project plan
- Define requirements for medication workflows by engaging stakeholders
- Support prioritization of medication requirements
- Contribute to project status reporting and process documentation
- Participate in medication-related working groups
- Support the technical design of the ePrescribing solution
What they’re looking for
- 5-7 years of business analyst experience within electronic health-related projects
- 5-8 years of experience with health system business requirements definition and implementation
- 4-5 years of experience with Healthcare Information Systems and data workflows
- 4-5 years of experience with medication, pharmacy workflows or related hospital business processes
- Strong stakeholder engagement, presentation and communication skills
- Experience managing projects or programs in matrix organizational environments
Nice to have
- Undergraduate degree in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field
- Knowledge of medication workflows
- Experience with health system implementation and deployment projects
- Experience operating in highly political, multi-cultural organizational environments
- Working knowledge of HPPA, FIPPA and PHIPA privacy legislation
- Experience with provincial support models and requirements gathering
