This is a senior business analyst contract role supporting Ontario's ePrescribing and medication initiatives within a provincial healthcare digital-services portfolio. It suits someone with healthcare business analysis experience who can define medication workflows and work directly with clinical stakeholders in Toronto. The engagement runs through a public-sector agency, Supply Ontario, on a hybrid schedule.
What you’ll do
- Provide business analysis support for the ePrescribing and medication initiative
- Define and document business requirements for medication workflows
- Engage healthcare stakeholders to gather and validate requirements
- Support prioritization of medication-related requirements
- Contribute to the Medication Program Integrated Project Plan
- Support technical design of the ePrescribing solution
- Develop and maintain process documentation
- Contribute to project status reporting
- Participate in working groups on medication projects
- Coordinate tasks across stakeholders and project teams
- Support implementation and deployment of health-system solutions
- Liaise with customers and stakeholders on queries, issues and risks
What they’re looking for
- 5-7 years of business analyst experience on electronic health-related projects
- 5-8 years defining and implementing health-system business requirements
- 4-5 years with healthcare information systems and data workflows
- 4-5 years with medication, pharmacy workflows or related hospital/patient-admissions processes
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- Experience coordinating tasks and resolving conflict across teams
- Experience managing projects within matrix organizations
Nice to have
- College or university degree in health, computer science, engineering or a related field
- Experience with health-system implementation and deployment projects
- Direct customer-facing experience
- Knowledge of Ontario healthcare privacy legislation (HPPA, FIPPA, PHIPA, HIC)
- Experience with provincial support models
- Public-sector experience
