About the role

This is a senior business analyst contract for a Toronto client building out portfolio management tools under a New Ways of Working initiative. The role suits an experienced BA who can turn resource planning and project governance needs into working Microsoft 365 applications. You'll build and roll out tools covering resource capacity planning, project governance and gating, and intake of unplanned work.

What you’ll do

  • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Build, test and roll out applications using PowerApps, Power Automate, PowerBI and SharePoint
  • Document workflows and swim lane diagrams clarifying roles and responsibilities
  • Develop performance metrics and executive-level Power BI dashboards
  • Create business cases and cost-benefit analysis for proposed solutions
  • Report progress and resolve issues with IT management and stakeholders

What they’re looking for

  • Experience in portfolio management including resource management, prioritization and new work intake
  • Technical experience building and rolling out solutions company-wide
  • Expert knowledge of MS365 tools: PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, Excel
  • Experience with executive-level reporting and dashboard creation
  • Strong communication and change management skills across employee groups
  • 10+ years of work experience

Nice to have

  • Experience translating business and data requirements into technical specifications
  • Familiarity with business process mapping and event modeling methods
  • Experience with structured, object-oriented and agile requirements methodologies
  • Experience using Copilot and other AI tools for process improvement
