About the role
This is a senior backend engineering role building orchestration services for a business-critical platform, based remotely in India. It suits an experienced .NET and NodeJS engineer who wants ownership of distributed backend systems and asynchronous workflows. What you’ll do
- Design and maintain backend services and orchestration frameworks in .NET/.NET Core and NodeJS
- Build REST APIs, microservices and workflow components for business-critical applications
- Develop orchestration logic coordinating multiple services and asynchronous workflows
- Design resilient, fault-tolerant systems for high-volume workloads
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product and architecture teams
- Investigate and resolve production incidents
- Contribute to CI/CD, monitoring, logging and observability
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
What they’re looking for
- 5-11 years of professional backend development experience
- Advanced hands-on expertise with .NET/.NET Core
- Strong practical experience with NodeJS
- Solid grounding in OOP, data structures, algorithms and design patterns
- Experience building REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems
- Strong understanding of async programming, fault tolerance and scalability
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and code reviews
Nice to have
- Experience with PostgreSQL, schema design and query optimization
- Hands-on MongoDB/NoSQL experience
- Exposure to cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes or event-driven architectures
- Experience with workflow engines or job scheduling platforms
- Familiarity with observability practices
