About the role
This is a senior business analyst contract role bridging business stakeholders, product and engineering teams for a technology-driven clinical research company, remote within Canada. You'll translate complex clinical research and business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications for delivery teams. The role is a contract position placed through Jobgether on behalf of a partner company.
What you’ll do
- Act as communication bridge with client project stakeholders on status, requirements and risks
- Elicit, analyze, document and manage business requirements from product owners and stakeholders
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, BRDs and functional specifications
- Maintain requirements documentation in Jira and Confluence
- Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives
- Conduct gap analyses and workflow mapping
- Support UAT planning and execution including test scripts and stakeholder sign-off
- Create process flow diagrams, data dictionaries and use case diagrams
- Participate in project governance activities
What they’re looking for
- 3+ years of business analysis experience in software product, technology or professional services
- Experience eliciting and documenting requirements from business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to author user stories, acceptance criteria, BRDs and functional specifications
- Hands-on experience facilitating Agile/Scrum ceremonies using Jira and Confluence
- Experience supporting UAT planning and execution
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence and collaboration tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
Nice to have
- Experience in clinical trials, healthcare IT or regulated software environments, especially GxP or 21 CFR Part 11
- Familiarity with API concepts and technical specifications
- Experience working within multi-vendor delivery models
- CBAP or equivalent business analysis certification
