About the role
This is a senior AI leadership role directing the technical strategy and architecture for a large federal acquisitions platform modernization, remote in the United States with occasional travel to Washington, D.C. It suits an experienced AI architect or lead who wants to orchestrate multi-agent AI systems while owning federal AI governance, security and compliance. What you’ll do
- Serve as the primary technical authority for AI architecture, research and implementation
- Define the approach for integrating and orchestrating multiple AI agents into a unified ecosystem
- Lead design, development and deployment of scalable AI/ML models in production
- Establish MLOps practices covering model versioning, validation, monitoring and lifecycle management
- Integrate AI workflows into CI/CD pipelines
- Deploy and manage AI workloads within secure AWS environments
- Apply the NIST AI Risk Management Framework to AI design and operations
- Support security documentation for Authorization to Operate processes
- Mentor multidisciplinary technical teams and communicate AI risks to stakeholders
What they’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience as an AI Lead, AI Architect or equivalent senior role on complex federal or enterprise programs
- Advanced knowledge of AI, machine learning, deep learning and data science; Master's or PhD strongly preferred
- Proven track record deploying and managing AI/ML solutions in production
- Hands-on MLOps experience including model lifecycle management and deployment automation
- Experience integrating AI workflows into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong experience deploying AI workloads within AWS
- Familiarity with cloud security and DevSecOps practices
- Strong understanding of federal IT standards, AI governance and ATO processes
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance
Nice to have
- Familiarity with multi-agent AI architectures and autonomous workflows
- Experience supporting federal AI modernization initiatives
- Relevant certifications in cloud, AI/ML or cybersecurity
