About the role
This is a senior presales solutions architect role supporting GitLab's Commercial and Enterprise customers across India's Southern Region. It suits a technical presales or consulting professional who can lead evaluations, proofs of value and workshops for a DevSecOps platform. The role partners closely with Account Executives and is open to India-based candidates.
What you’ll do
- Lead technical discovery, demonstrations and validation showing how the platform meets customer needs.
- Own the technical evaluation process, including solution design, proofs of concept and workshops.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to shape account strategies, with a focus on GCC, Digital Native and startup accounts.
- Support regional go-to-market partners delivering Professional Services.
- Represent the company at online and in-person marketing events.
- Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders.
- Advise customers on CI/CD, security and cloud practices.
- Share customer feedback and competitive insights with Product Management, Engineering, Sales and Marketing.
What they’re looking for
- Experience guiding Commercial and Enterprise customers through solution design and evaluation in presales or consulting.
- Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps and CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control and CI/CD platforms.
- Practical knowledge of cloud computing, including deployment, security and operations.
- Ability to lead proofs of concept, contribute to tenders or audits, and run workshops.
- Clear technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and executives.
- Skill in building trusted relationships and collaborating with go-to-market partners.
