About the role
This is a principal product management role at GitLab, leading strategy for engineering analytics and AI-driven insight products. You'll shape dashboards, data infrastructure, and conversational AI tools that help engineering leaders understand delivery performance, working fully remotely in the US. What you’ll do
- Define the multi-horizon roadmap for GitLab's data analytics and insights platform
- Partner with engineering leaders on data pipelines, storage, and APIs supporting analytics
- Collaborate with the Knowledge Graph team to connect insight experiences to cross-lifecycle data
- Design a tiered analytics experience spanning conversational AI, dashboards, and custom tooling
- Prioritize dashboards covering deployment frequency, cycle time, and AI cost and ROI
- Translate how engineering leaders and executives consume data into product decisions
- Enable internal teams to build and share dashboards for customer-facing reporting
- Drive a consistent analytics narrative across product, marketing, and analyst conversations
What they’re looking for
- Experience defining product vision and driving execution across complex, multi-team programs
- Background building analytics, dashboard, or BI products for engineering or DevOps users
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and metrics such as DORA and cycle time
- Working understanding of data infrastructure, pipelines, APIs, and BI tooling
- Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear product requirements and roadmap direction
- Skill influencing across engineering, design, sales, and data teams without formal authority
- Familiarity with AI-powered analytics, conversational interfaces, or knowledge graph concepts
