About the role
This is a pre-sales solutions architect role for the Travel & Hospitality vertical within Databricks' Retail solutions team, open remotely. You'd act as the lead technical voice for up to nine enterprise accounts, guiding customers through adopting Databricks' data and AI platform. The role sits alongside an Account Executive and works closely with a team building proofs of concept.
What you’ll do
- Serve as the main technical voice for Databricks across up to 9 client accounts
- Lead customers through evaluating and adopting Databricks as part of their data strategy
- Implement technical account strategy aligned with overall account strategy
- Build a base of technical champions within each account
- Align technical strategy around Databricks solutions
- Provide structured mentorship to other team members
What they’re looking for
- 6+ years of experience with large accounts ($1M ARR) in Retail and CPG
- 4+ years in a pre-sales capacity or supporting sales activity
- Technical grounding in big data, data science and cloud
- Ability to drive data-driven business transformation and change
- 3+ years designing and implementing big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, OLAP, or full lifecycle data science solutions
- Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala or Java
