About the role
This is a remote Solutions Architect role at Databricks focused on digital native customers in the healthtech space. You'll own technical strategy for named accounts, lead architecture discussions, and act as a trusted technical advisor to customer engineering leads. It suits an experienced pre-sales or hands-on technical architect who wants to specialize in healthcare data and AI use cases.

- Own end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery through production deployment
- Lead architecture discussions spanning data engineering, ML/AI and real-time analytics
- Serve as trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leads
- Drive technical wins in competitive scenarios
- Develop a technical specialization and become a go-to resource within the team
- Orchestrate cross-functional resources to deliver solutions
- Provide structured feedback to influence product direction
What they’re looking for
- 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role
- Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL, including live coding and debugging
- Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture, streaming and lakehouse patterns
- Proficiency on the Databricks platform or ability to learn it quickly
- Experience leading architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders
- Experience with production deployments on AWS, Azure or GCP
- Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, EDI/X12, ICD-10, CPT
- Experience selling into pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO or medical device companies
- Databricks certifications in Data Engineer, ML or Platform
- Experience with competitive platforms such as Snowflake, AWS native services or Azure Synapse
- Background in a data/AI company or cloud provider
- Industry domain expertise in another vertical such as Financial Services or Retail
