About the role
This is a remote AI Developer role at Horizon Industries International Limited, based out of Delhi, India, for engineers with 5 to 8 years of experience. The role owns the full lifecycle of production-grade agentic AI systems, MCP tool connectors and the backend microservices supporting them. You'd design durable agent workflows with checkpointing, build hybrid RAG pipelines and set up AgentOps/LLMOps tracing for live systems.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, deploy and maintain production-grade agentic systems end-to-end
- Implement durable agent workflows with persistence, checkpoints and automated error recovery
- Build secure, auditable tool integrations using Model Context Protocol standards
- Construct hybrid retrieval pipelines combining vector indexing, structured querying and reranking
- Build evaluation scorecards and regression gates for agent trajectory accuracy
- Set up AgentOps/LLMOps telemetry for reasoning states, costs and latency
- Develop async backend microservices using Python, FastAPI, Pydantic and Kafka
- Deploy and monitor services across Docker, Kubernetes and a major cloud provider
- Troubleshoot live production issues and implement stability improvements
What they’re looking for
- 5 to 8 years of experience delivering production-grade AI or backend software
- Strong Python proficiency with unit testing, typing and clean architecture
- Hands-on experience with LLM-powered applications, tool calling and evaluation metrics
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI or LlamaIndex
- Production API design using FastAPI or comparable frameworks
- Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL and vector databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, FAISS)
- Deployment and containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and a major cloud platform
- Track record supporting and troubleshooting live production systems
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Knowledge Graphs, GraphRAG or structured entity retrieval
- Experience generating synthetic training data or automated labeling
- Proficiency with AI developer tools like Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or Windsurf
- Experience publishing whitepapers, patents or reusable technical accelerators
