About the role
This is a data quality and observability role at Roche, working with IT and business stakeholders to define, deploy and validate data quality practices across strategic data assets. It suits someone with a few years of data quality or business analysis experience who wants to work in a large multinational healthcare organization based in Hyderabad. The role covers the end-to-end data lifecycle, from data creation through data governance compliance.
What you’ll do
- Consult and advise the business on data quality
- Partner with data creators, stewards and consumers to establish data quality dimensions, rules and indicators
- Design and maintain policies, methodologies and guidelines for data quality, profiling and cleansing
- Identify attributes requiring data quality rules and translate business rules into data quality rules
- Resolve data quality problems using root cause analysis and user requirements gathering
- Work with data quality and management platforms such as Informatica DQ, Collibra DQ and Ataccama
- Work with data standards and ontologies
- Support the Data Governance team in implementing governance practices
What they’re looking for
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- 3+ years in IT/business system analysis or information design
- 2-5 years of data quality management experience, preferably in consulting
- Understanding of data governance, stewardship, cataloging, observability, engineering and integration
- Strong analytical, consultancy and communication skills
- Ability to work in complex, matrix environments
- Fluent English and experience in a multinational environment
Nice to have
- Domain knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry
