About the role
This is a senior forward-deployed engineering role for deploying and customizing Clutch's software with credit-union clients from anywhere in the world. You will combine full-stack engineering with client-facing implementation, production troubleshooting, and technical advising. The role is intended for experienced builders who want direct ownership of customer problems and product feedback.
What you’ll do
- Learn Clutch's products, deployment processes, customers, and playbooks.
- Understand client infrastructure, business goals, and technical requirements.
- Deploy and customize solutions with internal and external partners.
- Lead integrations and deployments independently.
- Troubleshoot production environments.
- Advise customers and stakeholders on technical decisions.
- Own large deployments and complex rollouts.
- Provide customer-informed feedback to product and engineering teams.
- Improve deployment processes for scale and client satisfaction.

- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong TypeScript skills across Node.js backends and React frontends.
- A workflow that makes regular use of AI tooling.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar cloud platforms.
- Ability and willingness to travel to client sites up to 50%, depending on preference.
- Experience with deployment, integration, production troubleshooting, and operational systems.
- Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
- A bias toward action and a client-focused approach.
