What you’ll do
- Partner directly with clients to understand objectives and constraints
- Drive agentic engineering practices and coach client teams
- Translate ambiguous business challenges into technical requirements and architectures
- Design and build AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, APIs and data pipelines
- Engineer the harnesses around AI models including prompts, tools, memory and permissions
- Build and refine agent loops covering planning, execution and recovery
- Create evaluation frameworks for accuracy, reliability, safety and cost
- Develop rapid prototypes and evolve them into production systems
- Instrument AI applications for tracing and failure diagnosis
- Establish engineering practices including testing, observability and CI/CD

- Professional experience building and deploying production-grade software, including AI-powered systems
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript and Python
- Strong fundamentals in OOP, test-driven development and cloud deployment
- Practical understanding of harness engineering for AI agents
- Experience with agent loops and graph-based orchestration
- Experience designing evaluation systems for AI applications
- Strong knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, databases and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Strong communication and client-facing collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Experience with agent frameworks, workflow engines or coding agents
- Experience building tool interfaces, sandboxes and permission models
- Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, vector search and fine-tuning
- Experience with AI observability and evaluation datasets
- Understanding of AI security concerns like prompt injection
- Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code
- Experience in consulting or solutions engineering roles
