About the role
This volunteer chapter-chair role coordinates CRAC’s British Columbia events, local relationships, and volunteer activity through a hybrid arrangement. What you’ll do
- Build and guide a volunteer team supporting British Columbia programs.
- Plan, attend, and manage local educational and networking events.
- Run quarterly meetings to coordinate volunteers and initiatives.
- Contribute to provincial fundraising and monitor event-related funds and costs.
- Support communications, marketing, DEI, and community outreach plans.
- Develop relationships with patient advocates and underrepresented communities.
What they’re looking for
- Be based in British Columbia.
- Have leadership, nonprofit, or community-organization experience.
- Demonstrate interest in clinical research in Canada.
- Bring strengths in at least two areas including finance, fundraising, grant writing, DEI, communications, event management, leadership, or patient advocacy.
- Have strong relationship-building and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Be able to contribute around 8 to 12 volunteer hours per month.

- Two-year appointment beginning in September or October 2024, with possible extension.
