About the role
This is a senior engineering leadership role at Shiprocket, owning platform architecture and building out the engineering organization as the company scales. It suits an experienced leader who has taken a platform from early traction to scale before and knows where the pitfalls are, working in-office in Gurgaon. You'll partner directly with founders and leadership on architecture and product-technology strategy.
What you’ll do
- Own the architecture of the platform for the next 5 years
- Build and scale the engineering organization: hiring, structure, rituals and culture
- Sit in product, tech and business strategy discussions
- Partner directly with founders and leadership on what gets built next
What they’re looking for
- 8-10 years of backend and platform engineering experience with real scale experience
- Deep fluency in Node.js, Python or Java, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
- Track record of building teams that outlast you
- Strong sense of ownership
