About the role
This is a full-time Senior Research Manager role with CD PROJEKT RED's AI R&D team in Canada, available fully remote or hybrid/in-office. It is for a software project leader who can steer cross-functional AI, research, or game-development work across teams in North America and Europe. You will partner with the AI Director to deliver initiatives that improve game experiences, development workflows, and creative capabilities. CD PROJEKT RED develops story-driven role-playing games.
What you’ll do
- Partner with the AI Director on major AI R&D initiatives.
- Coordinate work between East Coast and European teams and projects.
- Build and support self-organizing, high-performing cross-functional teams.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve incremental delivery.
- Manage scope, timelines, resources, risks, planning, scheduling, and roadmaps for AI initiatives.
- Maintain relationships with external partners.
- Use internal feedback to improve processes and approaches.
What they’re looking for
- At least five years of software project-management experience.
- At least three years in a leadership role.
- Experience spanning the lifecycle of an AI product, AI research, or game development.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, preferably in Agile environments.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and data-modeling skills.
- Experience with project-management tools such as Hansoft, Jira, Confluence, and office tools.
- Ability to bring teams together under pressure and solve problems with limited oversight.
