About the role
This is a senior engineering management role leading teams that build AI-powered data connectivity solutions, fully remote from anywhere. It suits an experienced engineering leader with a strong Java/Kotlin background who wants to combine people leadership with technical judgment across multiple teams. The role owns execution and delivery for assigned engineering teams, including operational ownership, on-call practices and incident leadership. It also involves fostering a shift-left engineering model where engineers partner directly with product on discovery and solution design, with AI used throughout the development process.
What you’ll do
- Lead and develop engineering teams through coaching, feedback and performance management
- Own execution and delivery across assigned engineering teams
- Provide technical leadership and judgment across teams, aligning decisions with architecture and quality standards
- Ensure sustainable on-call practices and operational ownership of production systems
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership on capacity, priorities, risks and planning
- Lead incident response, coordination and postmortems
- Champion effective use of AI-assisted development practices across teams
- Hire, onboard, retain and develop engineering talent
