About the role
Arc is recruiting a senior full-stack engineer for a worldwide remote freelance engagement to deliver a consumer financial application MVP. The role suits an engineer with at least five years of experience in Node.js, PostgreSQL, React Native or Expo, and production integrations who can lead technical delivery. You’ll turn an established product direction into mobile onboarding, sign-in, consent, financial-account connection, data ingestion, and audit-recording capabilities. The engagement is 40 hours per week for 12 weeks and requires at least four hours of overlap with Eastern Time.
What you’ll do
- Review the existing codebase, product direction, user journeys, and reference applications.
- Set technical direction and prioritize MVP work against longer-term needs.
- Develop and guide work across React Native or Expo, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and provider integrations.
- Deliver sign-in, consent capture, Flinks connection, account-data ingestion, event recording, and mobile onboarding.
- Establish review, testing, documentation, and delivery practices.
- Help coordinate a small engineering, QA, and design group.
What they’re looking for
- At least five years as a senior full-stack developer or technical lead on production systems.
- Strong backend experience in data models, audit trails, events, consent, privacy, and external integrations.
- Mobile development experience, ideally with React Native or Expo.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Node.js, APIs, and third-party integrations.
- Ability to work effectively with existing product requirements and make disciplined tradeoffs.
- Strong written communication skills.
