About the role
This is a part-time security operations center analyst role supporting physical security operations for Allied Universal in Little Canada, Canada. You'll monitor security systems, triage incidents, coordinate responses, maintain event records, and support client safety across regional and global operations centers.
What you’ll do
- Follow client safety, security, and emergency-response procedures.
- Assess incidents and respond calmly to critical situations.
- Conduct patrols around client facilities and perimeters.
- Operate video, access-control, alarm, and other security technologies.
- Coordinate responses to incidents and activated alarms.
- Prepare written and verbal reports for security management.
- Maintain accurate event logs and handle telephone enquiries.
- Monitor fire panels and other critical-system alarms.
- Communicate with internal teams, clients, and emergency responders.
- Monitor multiple systems and shift priorities as events develop.
What they’re looking for
- At least 2 years of security-operations or comparable 24x7 operations-center experience.
- Experience with security analysis, incident assessment, preliminary enquiries, and report triage.
- Strong IT-application, data-entry, retrieval, and keyboard skills.
- Basic knowledge of IP networks, servers, and LAN/WAN systems.
- Working knowledge of data-protection requirements such as GDPR.
- Ability to remain professional and calm during emergencies.
- A valid driver's licence and clean driving record for driving positions.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 for armed roles.
- Successful background investigation and permitted drug screening are conditions of employment.
