About the role
This is a systems and reporting analyst role supporting Air Canada's maintenance division. The role is based on-site in Montreal, QC and suits someone who blends data extraction with business analysis for airline maintenance operations. The analyst pulls and analyzes large datasets, builds reporting solutions, and tracks KPIs so stakeholders can manage the maintenance business.
What you’ll do
- Retrieve and analyze large datasets using Excel, SQL and other data systems
- Design and implement reporting solutions for stakeholder decision-making
- Own reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
- Develop and manage KPIs to measure and benchmark reporting processes
- Monitor existing metrics and build new ones, partnering with internal teams on process improvements
- Support cross-functional teams in day-to-day program execution
- Write complex queries for in-depth review of process issues
What they’re looking for
- At least three years of experience with Excel, including VBA, pivot tables, array functions and Power Pivot, plus data visualization tools like Power BI
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to derive business insight
- Experience with SQL for data extraction
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, engineering, mathematics or statistics
- At least three years of experience as a business or data analyst or similar role
- Experience in operations, supply chain or logistics
- Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling
Nice to have
- Proficiency in a modeling language such as Python or R
- Experience with one or more statistical modeling languages or toolkits
- Bilingualism (French/English)
