About the role
This Director of Data Management & Analytics leads enterprise data architecture and analytics for an organization in Canada on a hybrid basis. The role reports to the Executive Director of IT Operations and owns the data strategy, AI governance framework, and data-driven reporting that supports legal service delivery and business operations.
What you’ll do
- Establish and advance the data governance framework, including data quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Oversee the governance of data used in AI and advanced analytics solutions, ensuring ethical and secure use
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical insights across pricing, business development, talent, and finance
- Build a next-generation reporting capability with automation, AI-assisted analytics, and visualization
- Create and communicate data retention policies covering storage, archive, integration, and disposal
- Foster a data-driven culture and develop data literacy competencies across the organization
- Partner with technology and cross-functional teams to digitize business processes responsibly

- 10+ years of leadership experience in data management, analytics, AI-enabled insights, and strategic transformation
- Strong background in enterprise data architecture, data governance, and domain expertise in AI governance
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a respectful and inclusive environment
- Significant financial management skills and fluency with the financial aspects of business operations
- Ability to influence at senior executive levels and navigate stakeholder complexities
- Experience or knowledge of data requirements in the professional services industry
