About the role
This is a full-time, on-site supply chain leadership role at Vantage MedTech in Olathe, Kansas. It is for an experienced manufacturing supply chain leader who can run procurement, materials, warehousing, inventory, and logistics across Kansas and New Jersey. The director reports to the SVP of Operations and manages buyers plus warehouse and logistics personnel. Vantage MedTech develops and manufactures products for medical technology companies.
What you’ll do
- Set supply chain strategy around customer delivery, cost, growth, working capital, and production continuity.
- Lead purchasing, sourcing, supplier management, inventory, warehouse, and shipping functions across two sites.
- Negotiate supplier commercial terms, pricing, lead times, contracts, and supply commitments.
- Build sourcing and risk-mitigation plans for electronic components, PCB assemblies, metals, plastics, packaging, and other direct materials.
- Maintain ERP and MRP planning controls, including lead times, order quantities, safety stock, and reorder points.
- Improve supplier performance, inventory accuracy, freight performance, and warehouse processes.
- Maintain supply-chain compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and company quality requirements.
What they’re looking for
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, engineering, or a related field, unless equivalent business experience is accepted.
- At least 10 years of progressive supply chain, procurement, sourcing, materials, logistics, or operations experience in manufacturing.
- At least five years leading procurement, materials, warehouse, logistics, or multi-site supply chain teams.
- Experience with sourcing, commercial negotiations, ERP or MRP processes, inventory optimization, and warehouse operations.
- Ability to work locally in Olathe, Kansas.
Nice to have
- Experience in medical devices, electronics manufacturing, contract manufacturing, life sciences, aerospace, or another regulated sector.
