About the role
Tabby is hiring a full-time remote Senior Data Engineer for its Data Services team in Yerevan, Armenia. This role suits an engineer with three to five years of data, machine-learning, or backend engineering experience who can build scalable data services and streaming systems. You will develop a feature store and related services, create data pipelines, and improve the team's data-processing and storage capabilities.
What you’ll do
- Develop a feature store and future internal data services.
- Build EL, ELT, and ETL pipelines.
- Integrate new tools for data processing and storage.
- Support operational work for data services.
What they’re looking for
- Three to five years of experience as a data engineer, machine-learning engineer, or backend engineer.
- Experience building high-load, scalable systems for data processing and storage.
- Knowledge of event-driven systems and streaming pipelines.
- Strong Python and SQL practices.
- System-design knowledge.
- Experience with Airflow, Debezium, BigQuery or ClickHouse, PostgreSQL or CockroachDB, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and GCP.
- Experience with REST APIs, gRPC APIs, message brokers, and queues.
Nice to have
- Go development experience.
- Experience with relational, MPP, or NoSQL data stores.
- Google Cloud Platform experience.
