About the role
This is a full-time worldwide remote software-engineering role for a mid-level or senior engineer with at least three years of cloud-infrastructure or distributed-systems experience. You'll build and operate the system behind Supabase Branches, including build orchestration and ephemeral execution environments. The work focuses on scalable pipelines, AWS infrastructure, observability, and developer-facing configuration tooling.
What you’ll do
- Improve the orchestration service for creating, merging, and rebasing branches.
- Provision isolated EKS or ECS build environments for connected repositories.
- Build scheduling for thousands of concurrent builds.
- Reduce pipeline times through caching, artifacts, and dependency reuse.
- Implement retries, timeouts, cancellation, and failure handling.
- Add traces, metrics, logs, and infrastructure configuration integrations.

- Strong Go and TypeScript engineering skills.
- At least three years building and running cloud infrastructure or distributed systems at scale.
- Knowledge of AWS infrastructure.
- Experience building reliable and observable systems.
- Ability to work independently and communicate with varied audiences.
- Comfort working asynchronously in a global team.

- Experience with AWS SDKs.
