About the role
This is a fully remote Engineering Manager role leading Storyblok's Foundations & Enablement team. You'll manage a mixed frontend and backend engineering group responsible for shared standards, developer tooling, CI/CD, security practices, and platform capabilities used by other teams.
What you’ll do
- Lead a cross-functional engineering team focused on delivery and people development.
- Balance the platform roadmap with requests from product teams.
- Maintain engineering standards for security, tooling, CI/CD, and developer experience.
- Coordinate shared platform responsibilities with the Infrastructure team.
- Coach engineers and support their technical decisions.
- Set delivery estimates, monitor progress, and remove blockers.
- Own recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.
- Run one-on-ones, goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback cycles.
- Improve documentation, knowledge sharing, and communication.
- Develop processes for a remote-first distributed organization.

- At least seven years of relevant software development experience.
- At least two years of engineering leadership experience.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Technical range across frontend and backend engineering.
- Experience with scalability, reliability, observability, and security.
- Experience owning platform, DevOps, security, or developer-tooling work.
- Knowledge of testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of incident response.
- Experience leading delivery, resolving blockers, and meeting commitments.
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- AI literacy and sound judgment when using AI tools.
