About the role
This is a supervisory role at RBC's Global Markets business overseeing controls in electronic trading, based in Toronto. What you’ll do
- Execute supervisory activity across Global Markets Macro and Spread businesses
- Ensure oversight of front-office supervisory and risk management controls for Electronic Market Access
- Work with front-office and technology teams to understand electronic trade flow controls
- Inventory and assess the effectiveness of automated controls
- Identify risks and recommend control enhancements
- Build relationships with legal, compliance, risk, audit, and technology control functions
- Escalate and report control issues with clarity and transparency
What they’re looking for
- At least 3 years' experience in a global markets business or equivalent consultancy experience
- Familiarity with electronic trading activity, risks, and expected controls
- Solid understanding of financial markets with product knowledge of Macro and Spread
- Experience with process walkthroughs and control assessment
- Experience analyzing large datasets to achieve business outcomes
- Experience creating management reporting
- Understanding of large and complex application development projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
