Medical Information Specialist - Pharmacist

What you’ll do

  • Respond to consumer and healthcare professional requests for medical and safety information via phone, email, letter and fax
  • Provide labeled and unlabeled medical/safety information responses per regulatory requirements
  • Identify, document and report adverse events, pregnancy reports and product complaints
  • Complete tasks within deadlines set by SOPs and client working practices
  • Formulate accurate responses using approved labeling and standard responses
  • Log all enquiries into Inquiry Handling Systems
  • Perform quality checks on adverse events, complaints and correspondence
  • Provide after-hours coverage on a rotated basis

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including professional telephone etiquette
  • Fluent, grammatically correct writing in the target language
  • English language proficiency
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and industry standards
  • Strong cognitive abilities including verbal reasoning and critical thinking
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail under restrictive timeframes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems
