About the role
This is a senior AI platform engineering role at Novartis, responsible for building and operating enterprise AI, GenAI and MLOps platform capabilities. It suits a Python and AWS-focused platform engineer who wants to work on model serving, orchestration and AI automation for enterprise use cases, based in Hyderabad. What you’ll do
- Design and support scalable AI, GenAI and Agentic AI platform capabilities
- Build and operate MLOps, LLMOps and AgenticOps capabilities
- Develop reusable platform services including model serving, orchestration and observability
- Design cloud-native AI platform solutions on AWS
- Develop and maintain platform APIs and self-service automation
- Drive platform automation across CI/CD, provisioning and deployment workflows
- Support Databricks-based ML and GenAI workflows including MLflow
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, architects and security teams
- Support onboarding, deployment, migration and upgrade activities
- Implement monitoring, observability and incident management processes

- Experience in AI/ML platform engineering, MLOps, platform engineering or cloud engineering
- Strong hands-on AWS cloud services experience
- Experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Databricks or MLflow
- Strong Python programming and automation experience
- Experience building APIs, automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of AI/ML model deployment and lifecycle management
- Experience with observability, monitoring and governance practices
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience in Agile and DevOps delivery environments
