About the role
This is a data management analyst role at Novartis in Hyderabad, building the data foundations that support AI use cases within the Corporate Affairs organization. It suits a data governance or data quality specialist with 8-12 years of experience who wants to work closely with AI platform teams to ensure trustworthy, well-governed data. The role reports into the Director, AI Enablement and works across data owners, IT and delivery teams.
What you’ll do
- Assess data readiness for priority AI use cases
- Partner with data owners, IT and delivery teams to define data sources and quality requirements
- Monitor data quality against agreed standards and support remediation
- Help establish data management practices such as metadata, lineage and documentation
- Support preparation, validation and maintenance of datasets used in AI solutions
- Coordinate on data access, retention, privacy and governance requirements
- Produce reporting on data quality status, readiness risks and remediation progress

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Analytics, Statistics or Engineering
- 8-12 years of experience in data management, governance, data quality, business intelligence or analytics support
- Extensive experience with AI platforms or toolchains (Claude, GPT, Azure OpenAI, Langfuse, vector databases)
- Experience assessing data readiness and documenting data sources and definitions
- Strong understanding of data quality dimensions, metadata, lineage, ownership and controls
- Experience partnering with IT, data owners and business stakeholders
Nice to have
- Additional training or certification in data management, governance or data quality
- Experience supporting Corporate Affairs, communications or other business-facing functions
