What you’ll do
- Set technical direction and design coherence across the Ads Data Engineering organization
- Resolve cross-domain design decisions so teams converge on approaches that scale
- Partner with the Ads DE director and managers as a senior technical voice
- Mentor and coach data engineers across the org, including on AI and emerging tools
- Build partnerships with senior engineers on data platform and D&I teams
- Help define what AI-native data engineering looks like for Ads DE

- 15+ years building data-foundation, backend or data engineering systems
- Real experience in advertising or ad-tech data
- Track record driving technical direction across organizational lines in more than one company or role
- Experience with a major platform migration or a data product's journey from 0 to 1 and beyond
- Strong communication skills across technical and business audiences
Nice to have
- Experience with large-scale distributed data systems such as Spark, Kafka or columnar stores
- Direct exposure to ad-tech domains like bidding, measurement or attribution
- A graduate degree in Computer Science with a data focus
- Experience formally mentoring engineers
