About the role
This full-time remote staff accountant role is for a Philippines-based accounting professional supporting a U.S. real estate and homebuilding business. It suits someone with substantial U.S. bookkeeping and accounts-payable experience who can own day-to-day accounting, close, reporting, vendors, and construction-project utility accounts. The accountant reports to the Controller and works across active residential construction projects.
What you’ll do
- Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts and post journal entries
- Lead the month-end close and check account balances
- Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts
- Process invoices, vendor payments, tax forms, loan draws, and insurance payments
- Coordinate project utility accounts and compliance documentation

- Bachelor's degree in accountancy or a related accounting degree
- At least five years of U.S. accounting, bookkeeping, and accounts-payable experience
- At least two years using QuickBooks Desktop
- Strong Excel capability and professional written communication
- Ability to manage vendor relationships, deadlines, and remote work independently

- Philippines CPA or an equivalent qualification
- Homebuilding, construction, or real estate accounting experience
