What you’ll do
- Design, build and ship features across the stack, from backend services to user-facing surfaces
- Own technical decisions for projects end to end, from design through deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate with product and design to translate user needs into reliable, well-tested software
- Improve performance, scalability and reliability of existing systems as usage grows
- Review code and mentor other engineers
- Help establish and evolve engineering practices, tooling and standards
What they’re looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience on production systems at scale
- Strong command of at least one modern backend language, with API and data-model design experience
- A track record of owning projects independently from ambiguous requirements to shipped features
- Experience with distributed systems, databases and cloud infrastructure
- Solid grounding in testing, code review, CI/CD and system design
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Experience building consumer-facing products with real-time or automated workflows
- Familiarity with AI/ML-powered features or integrating with large language models
- Experience at an early-stage or fast-moving startup
