About the role
This is a senior data analyst role at Sutherland's Enterprise Data and Analytics team, turning scientific and operational data into insights, remote and based in Canada. You'll lead development of analytical solutions illuminating KPIs, performance trends and strategic decisions. The role partners with stakeholders to map business processes and conduct deep-dive analyses.
What you’ll do
- Analyze complex scientific datasets to uncover insights and support strategic initiatives
- Map key business process rules to align data solutions with operational realities
- Create insight-driven solutions for critical KPIs and performance metrics
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to solve challenging problems
- Engage business stakeholders to identify requirements for current and future products
- Lead requirements workshops and User Acceptance Testing
- Analyze business processes and develop business flow and data flow diagrams
- Perform data profiling, mining and validation/testing
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results clearly
What they’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science or related field
- Must be based in Canada
- Minimum 5 years' experience writing complex SQL queries, data mining, data profiling and validation/testing
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst/Data Analyst, preferably senior or lead
- Minimum 5 years' experience organizing User Acceptance Testing cycles with business users
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker or MicroStrategy
- Experience working in Agile Software Development Methodology
Nice to have
- Master's in Business Administration, Information Systems or Computer Science
- Experience in life science or Biotechnology industry
