About the role
This is a senior architect-level role owning the roadmap and cross-team planning for a customer's Microsoft Fabric data platform, open across Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. It suits an experienced data architect who works at the planning and oversight level rather than building pipelines hands-on. The role involves coordinating multiple project teams and managing dependencies across Fabric workstreams for an enterprise client.
What you’ll do
- Own and maintain the overall Fabric platform roadmap, deciding what gets built and in what order
- Manage the backlog of pending work across all Fabric workstreams and projects
- Identify and address technical debt from older or quick-fix solutions
- Coordinate across multiple project teams and manage cross-team dependencies
- Communicate architecture strategy and priorities to stakeholders

- Demonstrated expertise designing and deploying complex data architectures within Microsoft Fabric and the Azure ecosystem
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing pipelines and analytical models
- Strong background in data engineering, including ETL/ELT design, data modeling and performance tuning
- Exceptional communication skills, able to explain technical strategy to non-technical stakeholders and executives
- Proven ability to lead large-scale technical projects and manage stakeholder expectations
- 15 to 20 years of experience in data engineering and architectural roles
