Halo Industries is hiring an onsite Quality Engineering Manager in Santa Clara to lead wafer-manufacturing quality systems and customer quality work. You will scale quality practices for advanced wafering lines while supporting customer qualifications across automotive, power, and industrial electronics.
What you’ll do
- Lead customer quality strategy, audits, and quality feedback follow-through.
- Manage certificates of analysis and customer-specific requirements.
- Guide product-change notification and approval processes.
- Own technical execution of customer returns and root-cause investigations.
- Scale the Arena quality management system and support automotive compliance.
- Manage PPAP deliverables and production-readiness practices.
- Maintain control of critical wafer geometry metrics.
- Lead APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, Kaizen, and DMAIC improvement work.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage quality engineers.
What they’re looking for
- A bachelor's degree in a related materials, physics, or engineering discipline.
- At least 8 years of quality engineering experience in semiconductors, wafer manufacturing, or advanced electronics.
- At least 3 years formally managing quality engineering teams.
- A record of managing tier-one customer quality interfaces.
- Deep working knowledge of ISO frameworks and audit readiness.
Nice to have
- Arena PLM or Arena QMS administration experience.
- Experience managing automotive and non-automotive compliance requirements.
- Experience with JMP, Minitab, or manufacturing execution systems.
- Knowledge of wide-bandgap semiconductor materials and wafering.
What’s on offer
- The onsite Santa Clara role has a base salary range of $195,000 to $215,000 annually.
