About the role
This is a senior remote software engineering role at Habeo, a company building an IT asset management platform for higher education. The engineer will help build and scale the core platform, including the asset ledger, CMDB and integrations with systems like Workday, Jamf, Intune and Google Admin. The role suits someone comfortable owning architecture decisions and mentoring other engineers.
What you’ll do
- Design, build and ship features across the asset ledger, CMDB and integrations
- Own architecture decisions on data models, APIs and system design
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code review
- Translate customer needs from IT asset managers and administrators into shipped features
- Debug and resolve production issues with a focus on reliability and data integrity
- Mentor other engineers and help raise the technical bar
What they’re looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production systems
- Strong backend or full-stack fundamentals including API design and relational databases
- Experience owning features end-to-end from design through deployment and monitoring
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience building integrations with enterprise systems such as SSO/SAML, HR/ERP systems or MDM platforms
- Experience with systems modeling complex relationship graphs or audit trails
- Background in compliance-sensitive or audit-sensitive software
- Familiarity with higher education, IT operations or asset management
