About the role
This is a contract role processing external and local lab data for clinical trials at a life sciences data services company. It suits a detail-oriented data specialist with clinical trial or lab data experience who can work fully remotely. You'd review, quality-check, and reconcile external vendor and local lab data to keep trial databases accurate and compliant.
What you’ll do
- Communicate data point and validation issues to the clinical data management team
- Perform QC of laboratory normal ranges before entry for ICH/GCP compliance
- Perform lab normal range data entry and QC to meet processing deadlines
- Review study protocols and eCRF design during study start-up
- Verify normal ranges are properly linked to patient results
- Review external vendor and local lab data listings and issue queries
- Maintain external data reconciliation and change logs
- Perform study start-up and build activities for local lab and vendor data
- Provide study-specific data metrics to clinical data management and clients
- Attend internal and external study team calls as needed

- Bachelor of Science in a health-related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information
- Understanding of ICH/GCP guidelines and 21 CFR Part 11
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of clinical data management and vendor data processing
