About the role

This is a mid-to-senior insurance operations role for an insurance technology company, with three separate specialty streams: Finance, Underwriting & Claims, or Broker & Stakeholder Management. It suits an experienced insurance professional (MGA, Mutual or Insurer background) who wants to move into a product-facing technology role. The role is fully remote and based in Canada, with openings across multiple cities.

What you’ll do

  • Translate operational workflows, business rules and user requirements into technology solutions
  • Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to identify needs and document requirements
  • Clarify processes and support delivery of platform enhancements
  • Depending on stream: handle broker statements, BDX reporting, billing, reconciliations (Finance)
  • Depending on stream: document underwriting, claims and policy administration workflows
  • Depending on stream: improve broker-facing tools, portals and onboarding workflows

  • 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry
  • Experience within an MGA, Mutual, or Insurer
  • Strong understanding of insurance operations and workflows
  • Ability to analyze workflows, business rules and user requirements
  • Ability to translate operational needs into clear documentation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfort working in a remote, cross-functional environment

Nice to have

  • Previous Product Owner, Business Analyst, process improvement, or agile delivery experience
  • CAIB, CIP, or Insurance License Level II
