About the role
This is a senior data engineering role at Connection performing data and application integration across the company's corporate information systems. It suits an experienced database/ETL engineer who can design and lead complex integration and migration projects and mentor junior developers. The role is based in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, test and deploy data integration and data migration solutions across multiple database platforms
- Document technical specifications, deployment documents and support procedure manuals
- Work with business partners, analysts and project managers to design and support database systems
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers
- Lead complex production support initiatives and apply long-term solutions
- Provide on-call support for database integration solutions
What they’re looking for
- Strong working knowledge of SQL
- Strong working knowledge of SQL Server and/or Oracle relational databases, plus cloud data solutions such as Databricks
- Strong working knowledge of source control tools such as Git or Bitbucket
- Strong working knowledge of data integration tools such as SSIS, Databricks transformation and replication engines
- Strong working knowledge of application development and system integration principles
- Strong working knowledge of logical and physical database design
Nice to have
- Basic working knowledge of Power BI
