About the role
This is a remote Senior Software Engineer role for a Go developer working on Juju, Canonical's model-driven operations system. You will design, deliver and support highly concurrent distributed software used to manage applications and infrastructure across clouds, Kubernetes and bare metal. The role is globally remote and includes collaboration with upstream communities and travel to company events.
What you’ll do
- Own features from design and implementation through support and maintenance.
- Build and operate highly concurrent distributed systems for cloud automation.
- Collaborate with engineers across a distributed team.
- Debug problems and engage publicly with upstream communities.
- Discuss technical ideas and develop practical solutions with colleagues.
- Coach less experienced engineers and help maintain a strong engineering team.
- Travel from home to internal and external events for two to four weeks each year.
