About the role
This is a senior software engineering role at Bayesian Health, remote in the USA, building real-time clinical data integrations between hospital EHR systems and their platform. You'd own the technical workstream on client integrations, tracing issues through HL7 messages from parsing through ingestion, often under time pressure during go-live. The role centers on Python ingestion pipelines, external APIs and direct work with hospital technical teams.
What you’ll do
- Partner with client technical teams to design and implement data integration interfaces and ingestion pipelines
- Implement automated integration tests at the data layer and troubleshoot issues with client teams
- Execute production deployment in collaboration with client technical teams during go-live
- Serve as technical point of contact for data integration issues during go-live week
- Develop frameworks and tooling using LLMs and automation to increase integration efficiency
- Collaborate with Implementation Leads, Clinical Integration and client technical teams
What they’re looking for
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years building and deploying data pipelines to production, including external API integration (Python preferred)
- Strong ability to investigate and resolve data correctness problems end-to-end
- Experience with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) in production
- Experience writing automated integration tests for production systems
- Strong communicator able to collaborate across functions including with Project/Product Managers
Nice to have
- Experience with health data, EHR integration and interoperability standards such as HL7v2 and FHIR
